Beat 3 — Equipment siting

Where does the gear go?

Dale approved the roof. Now he wants to know where five pieces of equipment land — and he has opinions.

  • Tap a tile in the tray, then tap the house to place it. Drag placed gear to nudge it.
  • Three candidate spots: exterior wall by the meter, garage wall, and the basement utility room (use “Step inside”).
  • The dashed ring is the utility zone. Shutoff gear belongs near the meter where the fire department can reach it.
  • The inverter carries a working-clearance envelopeNEC 110.26 wants room to stand and work in front of it. Keep it off windows, doors and other gear.
  • Tiles with a small i badge carry a note — the utility-by-utility stuff worth knowing. Hover or tap it.
  • Nothing gets hard-rejected. You’ll just hear about it — from a tooltip, or later from Dale.
  • Use Check my work before you submit. That’s the whole job, honestly.
